Major Achievements of the GA(Political) Department since 2018-19

2018-19

• GA(Political) Department successfully extended State hospitalities to large number of VVIPs eg. the Hon’ble President of India, Hon’ble Vice President of India, Members of NITI Aayog during their visit to Tripura.
• State Pension to the Reang Freedom fighters was enhanced from Rs. 1,000/- per month to   Rs.1,600/- per month.
• State Pension to the Freedom fighters and their dependents (who are recipients of Swatantrata Sainik Smamman (Central) Pension) was enhanced from Rs. 500/- per month to Rs. 800/- per month.
• Monthly Maintenance Allowance (MMA) to the World War II veterans was enhanced from Rs. 6,000/- per month to Rs.10,000/- per month and MMA to wives of deceased WW II veterans was enhanced from Rs. 4,000/- per month) to Rs.10,000/- per month. 

2020-21

• One Protocol Cell has been constituted in the GA(Political) Department for better co-ordination regarding extension of State hospitalities to the State Guests/Government Guests during their visit to Tripura.
• One Co-ordination Cell has been constituted in the GA(Political) Department for better co-ordination with Ministry of External Affairs/ Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India regarding repatriation etc. matters.
